Statistics state that 60-70% of the BEST jobs are secured via networking introductions and referral to jobs that are NOT advertised anywhere. I have spent the last 15 years as an independent consultant helping employers think like online job seekers in order to help them strategically and efficiently target, advertise to and network to find the BEST talent online. In my work, I am a strong advocate for the online job seeker as I work hard to educate the employer about the importance of creating a "high touch," positive job seeker experience -- regardless of the outcome of their interaction.
In an effort to gain deeper insights into the needs and frustrations of today’s online job seeker, I have have launched this social network and blog site to provide a forum where job seekers can directly connect with each other as well as with corporate hiring managers, employees and recruiters who share in my passion to help job seekers get hired FAST. All members of this site agree to willingly share their contacts ( within reason!) , advice and resources to help each other in their mutual quest to find a good employee/employer match. In addition, I encourage recruiters and employers to regularly participate in the groups and forum discussions and to actively share “Insider Tips” to help online job seekers understand how best to overcome some of the challenges and frustrations they experience trying to find, compete for, and get a job in today's troubled economy.
Lastly, I ask everyone to please share those “Insider jobs” that are networked to you, but do not fit your needs, as well as those that only you know about BEFORE they get posted and lost on a large paid job board.

As I predicted last fall, the economic recovery has finally started to take hold as employer and consumer confidence continues to increase every month of the new year. Many of the indicators I follow are pointing to a definite trend upward in employer hiring in 2011 and continuing through 2012. Below are highlights from a recent presentation I did for our firm's board of directors to share a few statistics supporting my view:
